Olura Glow + Sculpt Kit Review

Skincare

I’ve been testing the Olura Glow + Sculpt Kit for about a month now and today I am going to spill all the deets on what it is, how it works, and what my experience/results were. So, if you’re into multi-purpose skincare devices and personalized skincare products, then this post is definitely for you! 🙂

Before my kit was sent to me, I was asked if I wanted to choose my own products or if I wanted to take the quiz on the website and have products recommended to me. Even though I pretty much know what my skin needs, I decided to take the quiz. My skin is oily, sensitive and I prefer products that are firming and calming.

My recommendations were what I expected so I was excited to get my kit and start my regimen.

What you get

The Glow + Sculpt Kit comes with a serum + two boosters, a moisturizer + one booster, and a facial device that exfoliates, infuses the product into the skin and sculpts and lifts.

How it works

To exfoliate skin, first spray your face and neck until damp with the Refreshing Essence that comes in the kit. Then turn on the exfoliating end of the device and gently push it across your skin until you’ve treated your entire face/neck. Skin will feel soooo incredibly soft and this helps to get rid of congestion in areas that needs it (for me it’s the nose and chin area). Disclaimer – I took this picture after using and before cleaning so it still has some product residue on it. To clean, just wipe using a damp towel.

To use the Eno device as a treatment, you will first need to empty your two boosters into your serum, shake for about 10 seconds to make sure it’s thoroughly mixed and apply to skin without rubbing the product in. Then, turn on the round end of the tool and massage the serum into your skin using circular motions. The Eno disc uses 350, 000 micro-vibrations per second that help to optimize the delivery of the serum into skin. I didn’t always use this step, as I like to massage the product in myself, but using this tool to apply the product was quite relaxing.

Once the serum is applied and absorbed, you can begin the sculpting and lifting – my favorite part! 😉 Using the same end as you did to infuse, move the device in upward motions on the neck, jaw, cheeks, forehead and in an outward motion under eyes. The first time I saw this used was on a ZOOM call with their esthetician, Kyoko. She used the Eno on one side of her face only and my jaw hit my desk. The side she used it on was noticeably more lifted and contoured than the other. This tool is no joke, folks! I could not wait to start using it after that! And after using it for a month (I do about 2 times a week), I can honestly say that after each use, my skin indeed does look more lifted, my eyes less puffy and my cheeks a bit more contoured. I also love how relaxing this device is. I hold a lot of tension in my jaw and neck area and the vibrations from this really helps to alleviate that.

The last step is to apply the moisturizer, which I use all over my face, under eyes and on my neck and chest and hands.

About the products

“All of OLURA’s products are CLEAN and formulated without: Sulfates SLS and SLES, parabens, formaldehydes, formaldehyde-releasing agents, phthalates, mineral oil, retinyl palmitate, oxybenzone, coal tar, hydroquinone, triclosan, triclocarban or synthetic fragrances. Olura’s products are also free of the chemical emulsifiers that can harm the skin’s lipid barrier.”

The serum is lightweight and hydrating and contains niacinamide and peptides, and the boosters I received with it contain bakuchiol, peptides, niacinamide, and vitamin C. The moisturizer is also pretty lightweight and very hydrating and contains niacinamide, glycerin and safflower oil and the enhancement booster contains olive fruit oil, trehalose and echium plantagineum seed oil. The Refreshing Essence contains trehalose and glycerin to name a few. Despite the products being labeled “clean”, there are few ingredients in each that are not my faves, but thankfully I did not have any reactions to anything in the products and they honestly made my skin feel pretty good. Which, isn’t that part of what skin care should do?

My overall thoughts on the device and products is that it truly does work as claimed and my skin looks and feels better after using. Do I recommend this? Definitely. Especially if you love using tech tools as part of your skin care routine and if you love products that leave out a lot of the not so great ingredients and incorporate ones that nourish, firm, hydrate, and soothe.
