I'm Brie — designer, soprano, and green beauty enthusiast — here to share all things branding, web design, music, and eco beauty. Whether you're building your dream brand, searching for your next holy grail product, or just craving a little artistic inspo, you're in the right place.
When I first started my blog back in 2013, one of the things I wanted to do was share my overall wellness journey. And part of that was sharing the recipes of meals I was eating.
Somehow, that got lost in the shuffle and I only made a page of several recipes. I thought now that I am once again trying to regain my health (this time from adrenal, hormone, rosacea, and weight issues), that I would revive them and share them.
This time around, I’m sharing them as single posts and adding more of my favorite recipes as I go.
Today’s recipe is all about smoothies. Particularly, my favorite green smoothies, including a St. Patty’s Day healthy version of the Shamrock Shake.
Enjoy!
Green Smoothie Recipe #1
(Serves one)
I try and have one green smoothie a day, usually for lunch. This keeps me going until dinner.
One frozen banana (if you don’t have any that are frozen, add a handful of ice cubes)
one-two cups of organic baby spinach
one organic pear, chopped
about 2 cups of filtered water
place all ingredients in a blender or nutribullet (my favorite kitchen gadget!), blend, and enjoy!
Green Smoothie Recipe #2
(Serves one)
One banana (frozen or add ice cubes if no frozen bananas)
one-two cups of organic baby spinach
one cup of berries of choice (fresh or frozen, organic is always preferred)
2 cups of water
1/2 teaspoon of chia seeds
place all ingredients in a blender or nutribullet, blend, and enjoy!
Healthy St. Patty’s Day “Shamrock Smoothie”
I made this years ago and it was so good, I wanted to share it again – albeit a bit late to the party (true to form for me).
I know that there have been a lot of variations of the Shamrock Shake floating around on the internet and I am sure mine is similar, but I’m using what I have on hand and what I normally eat.
That being said, here is my take on a Shamrock Shake..sans the shamrock. ;-P
You will need:
( Serves 1)
1 Frozen banana
1- 2 cups organic, raw baby spinach
2 cups unsweetened almond, coconut, oat, or hemp milk
1 tbsp raw cacao powder (I like Nutiva’s Naturals)
1 packet organic stevia*
1/8 tsp pure peppermint extract
1/2 tsp chia seeds
raw cacao nibs for topping
Place all ingredients (except cacao nibs) in a blender or Nutri bullet, blend, top with cacao nibs, and enjoy!
What are your favorite green smoothies? Let me know in the comments!

*If you don’t like the taste of stevia, you can use sweetened almond, coconut, oat, or hemp milk.
