Voice Lesson Policies

BLC Music Studio at Music on Main – Voice Lessons**

Welcome to BLC Music Studio at Music on Main (Lockport, NY). These policies outline expectations around attendance, payment, communication, and commitment so that lessons remain productive, enjoyable, and supportive for all students. Clear guidelines help ensure a positive learning experience — and keep our time together focused on making great music.

What You Can Expect From Me:

Professional, high-level instruction from an operatically trained soprano with 30+ years of performance, teaching, and coaching experience.

Lessons include:

*Breath–body coordination and healthy vocal technique

*Proper alignment and posture for supported airflow

*High tongue position, resonance strategies, and tone clarity

*Classical technique applied to any style or genre

*Lyric diction, IPA, musicianship, and repertoire guidance

*Song interpretation, character development, and audition prep

*Vocal wellness tools and resources

*Personalized practice plans + recommended materials

My goal is to help you build a confident, healthy, expressive voice — and enjoy the process every step of the way.

What I Expect From You:

To make meaningful progress, students should:

*Attend lessons consistently

*Arrive prepared and ready to work

*Practice between lessons

*Bring an open mind (even when something feels “silly” — it’s usually effective!)

*Approach learning with curiosity, patience, and creativity
