1. Tuition & Payments
Monthly tuition is due in full at the beginning of each month before lessons begin.
Payment methods accepted: Venmo, PayPal, and Check or Cash (in-person only)
Tuition is non-refundable.
*A $25 late fee will be applied if payment is not received by the second scheduled lesson of the month.
*If you are experiencing temporary financial difficulty, please reach out before the due date. I am open to arranging a short-term payment schedule — however, consistent late payments or repeated exceptions may result in lesson suspension.
2. Cancellations, Rescheduling & Attendance
4-24-hours notice is required to reschedule a lesson.
Lessons canceled with less than 4 hours’ notice — or missed without communication — cannot be rescheduled and will be forfeited.
Emergency situations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
If the teacher must cancel, the lesson will be rescheduled at the earliest available time.
Consistent attendance is expected for healthy vocal progress and studio scheduling.
3. Lesson Expectations
Students must arrive on time, prepared, and ready to work. Lessons will end at the scheduled time regardless of late arrival to be considerate of student's whose lesson is scheduled after yours.
Students should bring:
Assigned sheet music or repertoire
A recording device (ex: phone voice memo)
A pencil
Water
Proper posture is required during vocal lessons. Students are expected to stand unless a medical condition prevents it. Healthy alignment is essential for safe, supported singing.
4. Health & Safety
Students experiencing illness (especially conditions affecting the voice) should reschedule their lesson.
If mildly unwell, students may opt for a non-singing session, focusing on:
IPA
translations
character development
musicianship
or vocal wellness work
In cases of communicable illness, please stay home.
5. Behavior & Studio Environment
BLC Music Studio is a safe, inclusive, and encouraging space for all ages and identities.
Respectful behavior is expected at all times.
Disruptive, unsafe, or repeatedly unprepared behavior may result in dismissal from the studio.
6. Performance Opportunities

Participation is encouraged but not required.
Requirements for performances (attendance, preparedness, repertoire, etc.) will be communicated in advance.
7. Termination of Lessons
The teacher reserves the right to discontinue lessons for:
Repeated late payments
Frequent last-minute cancellations

Disrespectful behavior
Misalignment of goals or learning environment
A two-week notice is appreciated if the student chooses to end lessons.
8. Agreement
Booking a lesson, enrolling in a monthly bundle, or participating in studio activities constitutes full acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
