Four Sustainable, Eco-Conscious Musician Owned Brands That You Need To Know About!

Hey, everyone! This is a post that I am excited to write as it resonates deeply with me, being a musician myself! I feel that there are many musicians and artists out there who, also like myself, strive to be more eco-conscious and better stewards of this planet, but would also like to support people in their own community. This post will cover both and bridge the gap between the eco-community and music community. 🙂

And while I am sure there are many more out there, these are the brands that I personally know of, so if you have knowledge of more musician or artist owned eco-brands, please share in the comments so I can check them out!

Without further ado, here is the list.

  1. Meow Meow Tweet – An organic, vegan, small-batch skincare company, Meow Meow Tweet was founded in 2009 by artists and musicians, Jeff Kurosaki, and his partner Tara Pelletier. They named their brand in honor of their two cats and bird. Prices range from about $6-$25
  2. Foxie Cosmetics – Founded by musician, writer, and activist, Kayla Phillips, this ethical and vegan line is made up of bath and body products created to soothe the aches and pains a musician on the road or in constant performance can experience. Prices range from $6.25-up
  3. Plant Makeup – Plant Makeup is a cruelty-free, (mostly) vegan, non-toxic, ethically made organic brand that was founded by artist and musician, Jes. She created the line after developing a passion for plants and began incorporating them into makeup, haircare, skincare, incense cones, and even vegan, cruelty-free fragrances. All products are small-batched made and are zero waste. You can find her products on Etsy where prices range from $6-$60.
  4. Savor Beauty – Created by former classical pianist, Angela Ji Kim, Savor Beauty uses organic ingredients and effective formaulations inspired by her Korean heritage. Luxurious textures and aromas and high quality ingredients makes this a brand to obsess over. Prices range from about $6-$389.
