Hey, eco-beauties!

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything on one of my favorite green beauty brands, Annmarie Skin Care, so today I am excited to be able to share some new creations they recently came out with! 😀

If you’ve been following me for any length of time, you know how much love I have for this brand – they’re literally like my top 5 all-time favorites, can’t live without brands. I honestly can’t think of one single product of theirs that I haven’t truly loved and any chance I get to share what they create or recommend what they have, I jump at the chance!

Now on to the reason for this post (other than to gush over how fab they are!)…

Two new (well one not so new and one hot off the press new) products have joined the Annmarie Skin Care family and like everything they create, they are ah-ma-zing!

First up, the not-so-new..

Phyto-Nutrient Cleanser – Activated Facial Cream Cleanser

I’ve only recently gotten on board with cream cleansers – having always preferred a gel or foaming formula, and I have to say that I am really digging them. I used to shy away from them because I didn’t feel like they removed my makeup or made my skin feel clean – just oily. Not so with this cleanser. Made with nutrient-dense herbs, hydrating mango seed butter, and apple seed extract to help brighten skin, this gently cleanses while removing traces of makeup and impurities. It’s ph balanced so it won’t strip the skin of essential moisture and despite its creamy, oil-based formula it won’t leave any greasy feel after cleansing. My skin feels soft, moisturized and ready for the next steps in my routine! And as with all of their products, this smells heavenly – very bright and citrusy. $74 (100 ml)

Next, the new NEW!

Probiotic Serum with Tremella

When I heard that the folks at Annmarie Skin Care were adding a serum with probiotics in it to their menu, I was super stoked! Not only am I obsessed with taking probiotics (or eating probiotic rich) foods for optimal gut health, I’m also all about using them topically for skin health.

This serum not only uses probiotics in its formula, but also includes ancient age-defying botanicals combined with bio-fermented extracts to create something that is truly wonderful for all skin types, but especially for reactive, sensitive and acne-prone skins.

What’s in it?

The superstar ingredient is Tremella – an ancient Chinese mushroom whose distinct shape resembles a gelatinous flower or jellyfish and has been used for centuries for its extensive healing and beautifying benefits. Probably the most impressive attribute Tremella has is its ability to hydrate the skin better than hyaluronic acid! And who doesn’t want super hydrated, plump and dewy skin?

The next ingredients worth noting are the bio-fermented ingredients – which means that they were enhanced biologically to increase their nutrient density as well as their capacity to be effectively absorbed into the skin. The fermentation process used creates phytochemicals, peptides, and antioxidants. The two bio-ferments that are used are fermented olive leaf extract to help soothe and reduce redness and plankton extract, whose high sulfur content helps to slow down the signs of skin aging.

Also included is the super antioxidant, Astaxanthin, which helps to shield the skin from harmful elements while enhancing skin suppleness and firmness and improving overall skin moisture and hydration. Annmarie Skincare infused Astaxanthin in a base of tamanu oil for optimal dispersion.

Like all of Annmarie’s serum, this is in a base of aloe vera juice infused with specially selected herbs. For this formula, herbs like nettle, comfrey, plantain, dandelion, and olive were chosen specifically for their restorative and skin nourishing properties.

How does it feel/work?

The texture is similar to their other serums, but has a scent unique to itself – it’s more earthy and herbaceous with a faint hint of the sweet, woody aroma of frankincense.

Also like their other serums, this sinks into the skin and leaves it feeling soft and moisturized. Though after using this for a few days, I do think this is the most hydrating serum I have ever used, so props to Tremella! This also seemed to help calm my sensitive skin, while helping to restore moisture. I’m going to be purchasing a full-size bottle (I was sent a trial size for testing) once it is released for sale as I am interested in seeing how my skin will fair using this long term. I have a good feeling it will fair very well! 😉 $69
