Hey, I'm Brie! I'm a classically trained soprano who also designs websites for other singers, musicians, artists and creative business owners.
In addition to all that, I'm also a clean beauty advocate and blogger and beginning voice teacher! Basically, I'm a multi-passionate multi-hyphenate creative that loves to bring joy and beauty to the world through the arts.
This page is where I will share my current music journey as well as resources and recordings!
American Soprano, Sabrina (Brie Louise) Zimmerman discovered the thrill of performing at the age of 19, when she sang for the first time in front of her church congregation on Christmas Eve. Since that night, it has been her desire to share her love of music with others. During COVID, Brie attended online masterclasses by acclaimed international soprano, Lisette Oropesa as well as participated in an online singer’s course where she has had the opportunity to perform with and learn from other opera artists & professionals, including international soprano, Deanna Breiwick.. Her goal is to be able to create a series of themed recitals that she can share online so everyone can enjoy them. Her hope is to inspire people to take an interest in classical music and feel the same joy it gives her when she sings it.
In 2018-2019, she sang repertoire from Handel and Mozart in both the Winter and Spring recitals at a local music studio near her home in Lockport, NY. This was the first time she had been able to perform live after having had back surgery in 2013, as complications during recovery had forced her to take a hiatus from performing. It was during this time that she began taking a more serious interest in holistic health and how music could be used as a tool to facilitate her recovery. She started her blog, to combine her passions for music, wellness, and living a cleaner, more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
In the past, she was the guest soprano soloist for the Music School of Niagara’s Magical Madrigal Sunday, where she performed selections from Dowland and Morley. Brie has also been a frequent soloist in local churches, at weddings, and the Women’s Zonta Club of Niagara Falls, NY. She was an active member of the Buffalo Choral Arts Society from 1997-1999, where she sang the soprano solos from Mozart’s Regina Coeli in Salzburg, Vienna, and Prague. Her sophomore year in college she was the featured artist in a recital with the music faculty where she performed repertoire from Monteverdi to Lloyd-Weber.
In addition to classical music, Brie also loves musical theatre and had performed in her alma mater’s productions of Man of La Mancha as part of the chorus in 1996 and as Cinderella in Into the Woods in 2004.
Brie has a degree in Music Performance from Niagara County Community College and has studied voice privately with several teachers, most recently with Baltimore Soprano, Claire Galloway.
When she’s not learning new repertoire, designing websites, or working on her blog, she’s spending time with her husband and their bevy of animal “children” - 3 cats and 3 parakeets and 9 chickens at their farmhouse in the country.
